First shots with the Nikon D750
OK, I have lots to learn. I shot all night on my new Nikon and barely produced usable pics. This thing has a shit load of buttons and menu options. I couldn't figure out how to set my f-stop and was stuck on f/1.4 all night. This produced a very narrow depth of field so most of my pics were out of focus. I finally discovered the aperature dial on the front of the camera body the next morning. The 506-page english-only manual gave me a clue.
The lens I decided to get is the Nikkor 50mm f/1.4G. I also ordered the legendary Nikkor 200mm f/4D, which is on back order. After shooting the 50mm in the house, I think I'll be getting something a little smaller, probably sub-35mm.
This FX Nikon D750 replaces my four year old DX Nikon D3100. It's a huge improvement in terms of image sensor and features. The D750 has WIFI which provides some remote camera control, live view, and image fetching from devices on the network; very cool.
Enough bullshit, let's look at a few precious moments I captured on the first D750 run.
